The Executive Operation of IWM Project Starts in Doroud City

The executive operation of IWM project was started in Sarab Bisheh of Doroud city with the presence of the Head of FRWO and the Governor General of Lorestan province.

According to FRWO's website, Dr. Massoud Mansour accompanied by Seyed Musa Khademi, Governor General of Lorestan province, started the executive operation of the watershed management project of Doroud city to control erosion.

Head of FRWO after the opening ceremony of the National Steep Slope Development plan, which was held today with the presence of the President through a video conference, attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Dorud IWM project and said: "IWM supports any measure at field level that stabilizes and preserves soil including plantation in steep slopes."

Referring to the importance of planting in steep slopes to prevent soil erosion, Mansour reiterated: "Lorestan has a high capacity in this regard that should be tapped accordingly."
