Iranian Minister of Jahad Agriculture highlighted the Issue of Sand and Dust Storms in the Region

 Mahmoud Hojati attended the FAO Regional Conference for the Near East highlighted the Issue of Sand and Dust Storms in the Region on Thursday in Rome.

Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations is holding the 34th session of the Regional Conference for the Near East with participation of agriculture ministers and senior officials from more than 30 countries.

Upon arrival in Rome, Hojjati said the two-day FAO regional conference will focus on the issue of climate change and the related cooperation between countries in the region.

Based on Iran's initiative, Hojjati said, the issue of sand and dust storms has been discussed during the expert sessions.

Hojati hoped the FAO regional conference would lead to solving the existing problems with the help of member countries.
