Integrated Desertification Control Plan to be Implemented Next Year

ISFAHAN — Deputy Head of Watershed Management, Rangeland & Desert Affairs of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization said that Integrated Desertification Control Plan will be implemented next year.

Naser Heidaripouri in the sideline of this visit to Segzi desert area in Isfahan Province said that this year Kuozestan province is given the priority for allocation of budget for desertification control projects, however the priority for allocation of budget for desertification control will go to other desertified provinces next year from national development fund. 

He added that FRWO will implement a desertification control project in Segzi desert area by plantation of 5100 ha to be irrigated by the runoff collected in the upstream. 

Naser Heidaripouri also said that an allocation of 340 billion rials is earmarked for completion 19 watershed management projects in Isfahan province.
