Minister of Agricultural Jihad Visit the Nakhab Watershed Project in South Khorasan Province

Minister of Agriculture Jahad accompanied by Deputy for Technical & Civil Affairs of South Khorasan Governorate visited the Nakhab model project in Beshrouyeh Township financed by the National Development Fund.

Director General of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of South Khorasan province said that Nakhab earth dam project implemented with 90% of progress by allocation of 5200 million IRLs from the National Development Fund.

Nasrabadi also added that the project would support the livelihood of 14,000 people in the region and stated that the capacity of project reservoir is 100,000 cubic meters with the height 8 meters.

Nasrabadi commented that the objective of project is to control runoff and flood and recharge aquifers.

Director General of Natural Resources and Watershed of South Khorasan Province said that 26 water shed projects would be commissioned from National Development Fund resources with the allocation of 160 billion IRLs in South Khorasan.

Nasrabadi added that it is expected that by concluding a memorandum between the South Khorasan governorate and FRWO in future, an additional 400 billion IRLs would be made available for some vital projects in the province for control of drought and migration.
