Joint Collaboration between FRWO and AQR
FRWO and Razavi Economic Organization (AQR) held a joint meeting yesterday at FRWO’s headquarters to identify areas of bilateral cooperation and implementation mechanism through Razavi volunteer groups in provinces in the field of natural resources conservation and development.
According to FRWO’s website, Ramin Mirzaei, Deputy Head for Planning, Management and Resource Development of FRWO emphasizing the importance of conservation and development of natural resources said that natural resources sector has strategic importance when compared with the other sectors in the ministry, because any shortages for instance in livestock and crops, can be removed by importation in short run, however ecosystem services cannot be compensated readily.
Ramin Mirzaei reiterating the need to pay attention to natural resources management from economic point of view added that today the expansion of people's participation in the field of natural resources is not possible without the economic viability.
Mirzaei, referring to the outstanding economic record of Razavi Economic Organization (AQR), pointed out that AQR through popularizing economy and working effectively with people especially in deprived areas has realized the resilient economy as emphasized by the Supreme Leader, and in this connection requested for further engagement and collaboration of AQR with FRWO for participatory natural resources management.
Mostafa Khaksar deputy of Razavi Economic Organization referred to the new approach of AQR in rendering developmental assistance in close collaboration with main executive agencies to deprived rural communities based on the decree issued by the Supreme Leader three years ago on the occasion of the appointment of new head of AQR, and said that since the conservation and development of natural resources is one of the basic mandate in fighting against poverty, especially in less developed regions, AQR feels a great responsibility in working with FRWO in the framework of a joint memorandum to address challenges in natural resources sector in line with providing the subsistence of local people.
In this connection, AQR is trying through Razavi volunteer groups in provinces to cooperate with FRWO in the field of natural resources conservation and development.
