The Head of the Energy Commission to Meet the Head of FRWO

The head of the energy commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly met with the head of FRWO in the afternoon of Monday.

Fereydoun Hassanvand, people of Andimeshk’s representative in the Parliament in a meeting with engineer Khalil Aghaee, pointing out that there are currently no water containment in many seasonal rivers and floods, said that FRWO can provide significant assistance in this sector and by implementing IWM porojects and construction of water sections, roller concrete sections and flood spreading will solve many of the concerns of the people in the field of horticulture, agriculture and livestock sectors.

The head of the energy commission in Islamic Consultative Assembly's has recognized the activities of FRWO in the flood-affected provinces and emphasized the implementation of watershed management plans to protect vegetation cover and prevent soil erosion and floods.

* 15 Trillion RLs allocated to Watershed plans in 2019

In this visit, Khalil Aghaee, head of FRWO presented a report on the implementation of watershed projects, to allocate 7 Trillion RLs from the National Development Fund last year and said that these credits are approved by the Supreme Leader will, Government and Majles and due to the need of the country and the request of local communities, farmers and local authorities in the provinces, IWM measures are in force in 2019 and about 15 Trillion RLs has been allocated from the National Development Fund for IWM projects implementation this year.

Aghaei reminded that over the past year, watershed operations were implemented in more than 6,000 locations, 350 districts and 650 areas in the country, and this figure has increased to 10,000 locations in 2019.

He noted that the last year was a good year for natural resources because it took a few years to carry out a project in natural resources or out, but this action was taken in less than 6 months last year.

Head of FRWO on the recent flooding of the country noted that although rain has caused problems to our dear compatriots, but it has also been a blessing, and this year, we will not be concerned about water scarcity.
