MPs Meet with Head of FRWO

Asadollah Gharakhani, a representative of the people of Ali Abad Katoul town in Golestan province, and Gholi Gholizadeh, a representative of the people of Kalibar city in East Azarbaijan province met and conferred with Khalil Aghaee, Deputy Minister and Head of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization (FRWO) on land issues.  

According to FRWO’s website, in this meeting, the MPs asked head of FRWO to take urgent action to eliminate differences on public lands with private lands ownership.

Khalil Aghaee highlighting the people as the main partner of natural resources said that without the role and participation of the people, FRWO would not be able to protect and develop natural resources; so that the basis of FRWO’s activities is based on the participation of local people.

Aghaei addressed the representatives of the Kalibar and Ali Abad Katoul and said none of the natural resources and IWM projects will be implemented without the prefeasibility study, and demands of local people and the farmers this year. He also said that FRWO aims to resolve the existing problems with people - which is long lasting- through cadastre maps He also noted that by the implementing the cadastral plan and zoning, the boundary of state lands with private lands will be resolved.
