Government Pave the Way for the Further Involvement of Local Communities in Natural Resources Management
According to FRWO’s website, Khalil Aghaee, Deputy Minister and Head of FRWO, emphasizing the necessity of planning and utilization of existing legal capacities, called for further involvement of public including associations, cooperatives and NGOs in implementing FRWO projects and plans.
In accordance with the Rules of Procedure of Section B, Article 29 of permanent sections of national development plan, FRWO and DoE are authorized in the framework of laws and regulations to sign a contract with local communities and rural groups as well as nomads and NGOs directly and through bidding process in line with the protection, restoration, and improvement of the environment and natural resources.
