Mulching Operation to be Initiated in Nine Desert Provinces

Dr. Farhad Sardari, in the first steering committee meeting of combating desertification, announced that a total amount of 6,600 billion RLs have been earmarked for mulching operation in 11.5 thousand ha in nine deserted provinces of the country to accelerate desertification control activities in hot spots.

According to FRWO website, the  project will be implemented in Isfahan province (in the desert area of Hussein Abad, Aran and Bidgol) 800 hectares, in the south of Kerman (in the Chah Zardan area of ​​Qaleh Ganj) 800 hectares, in Ilam province (in Abu Ghavir district of Dehloran), 500 hectares, in Sistan & Balouchestan province (in Zahak and Bampour region) with an area of ​​2898 hectares, in Hormozgan province and Jask area with a total area of ​​580 hectares, in Kerman province (in Fahreh area) 2000 hectares , In Khorasan Razavi province (in the Gonabad area) of ​​500 hectares, in South Khorasan province (in Tabas area) with a total area of 771 hectares and in Khuzestan province (in the regions of Omm-e-debs and Hamidyeh) with an area of 2700 hectares.
