The Governor General of Boushehr met with the Head of FRWO

Abdulkarim Gravand, governor general of Boushehr province, in a meeting with Khalil Aghaee, Deputy Minister and Head of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization (FRWO) said that attention to IWM projects is on the agenda of the province to be implemented with the aim of preserving the rainfalls and their optimal management.

Gravand said that one of the important programs and priorities in the agriculture and natural resources management in Bushehr Province is the implementation of IWM management, because in addition to storing rainfalls, it prevents flood and soil erosion during a crisis and asked for special attention to the allocation of funds in 2019.

Head of FRWO also expressed his satisfaction over the IWM implementation in Boushehr province, and added that based on FRWO assessment, considerable progress has been made in the implementation of IWM projects in the provinces that proves, despite of time constraints last year, the trend is positive, and we are planning to complete our commitments as to unfinished plans this year.

Khalil Aghaee highlighting the effectiveness of IWM projects in hot spots, said that in those areas where IWM projects have been implemented, flood damage has been reduced to a minimum.
