Formulation of Cadastre in Zagros Forests to be Completed in 2019

Head of FRWO said in Ilam that Zagros forests due to vital ecosystem functions are considered as FRWO's priority area of work, and therefore arrangements have been made to finalize cadastre map of Zagros forests in 11 Zagros provinces by end of current Iranian year.

According to FRWO’s website, Khalil Aghaee said on Tuesday at a meeting on Joint Action Plan for Development of Natural Resources and Watersheds in Zagros Region with the presence of  Minister of Agriculture Jahad, MPs of Zagros and Deputy Governor Generals of Zagros provinces, that FRWO is mandated to expand protective green belt (2510 km) and supply energy for 10,000 people who live in Zagros forests in order to resolve disputes and reinforce the state ownership on lands.
