The First IWM Project launched in 2019 in Ilam

During a ceremony in the Arghavan Strait of Ilam province, the first IWM project in 2019 was officially launched by the head of FRWO.

According to FRWO’s website, Khalil Aghaee, in the launching ceremony of the first IWM project, said that we have taken allegiance to complete IWM projects prior to Government Week.

Deputy Minister praised the Supreme Leader’s supports from government initiative and said that this year IWM projects will be implemented in 10,000 sites in 700 watersheds by allocation of 150 million Euros from national fund development compared with 6000 sites in 350 watersheds last year. 

Aghaee added that biological operations will start from October using the seasonal rainfalls in autumn and winter; which means there will be no need to irrigation in the first year of the projects.
