MP Confer with Head of FRWO on IWM Projects

Dr. Khadijeh Rabiei, a representative of Borujen city in the Parliament met and conferred with Khalil Aghaee, Deputy Minister and Head of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization (FRWO) on land affairs and natural resources management in her constituency.

According to FRWO’s website, Khalil Aghaee , in this meeting  attended by Dr. Zabihollah Gharib, head of the Jahad-e-Agriculture Organization of  Chaharmahal-e- Bakhtiari Province and Kyomars Nazarpour, deputy for agricultural water office of Soil and Water Department, Ministry of Agriculture Jahad, said that IWM projects will be implemented in 10,000 sites this year projects compared with the 6000 sites last year.

The head of FRWO referring to the allocation of 15,000 billion RLs this year from National Development Fund for implementation of IWM projects throughout the country, emphasized the continued implementation of IWM projects in Chaharmahal-e-Bakhtiari province.

He also referred to the successful implementation of joint international projects in Chaharmahal-e-Bakhtiari province, and emphasized the need for participation of local communities and their empowerment that guarantee the success of IWM projects.

Representative of Borujen in the Islamic Consultative Assembly thanked FRWO for the successful implementation of IWM projects in her constituency last year, and praised the vital role of IWM in flood and drought management, as well as soil and water conservation and improvement of local communities' livelihood, and called for the continuation of projects this year.
