The Head of ARO Vows to Further Consolidate FRWO's Forest Guard

Khalil Aghaee, Deputy Minister and Head of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization (FRWO) met and conferred with Jamshid Ansari, Vice President and Head of the Administrative and Recruitment Organization (ARO) about the problem of staffing and organizational structure of Forest Guard of FRWO that is affecting its performance in protecting forests.

According to FRWO’s website, in this meeting, Mr. Khalil Aghaee Deputy Minister and Head of FRWO, highlighting the importance of preserving the 135 million hectares of natural resources in the country, acknowledged the role of the Forest Guard, as vital in safeguarding the natural resources, and called for the issuance of employment permission and final approval of the Forest Guard structure aimed at developing, upgrading and consolidating the unit in such a way to perform its duties in line with protection and conservation of natural resources and public assets.

According to the report, at the meeting, the Vice President and Head of ARO vowed to expedite staffing arrangement and approval the organizational structure of FG at FRWO.

 It is noteworthy that FG is one of the subcategories of Iranian Prevention Police (IPP) of Law Enforcement Police (NAJA) that was officially formed by the approval of the General Staff of the Armed Forces following the request and funding from FRWO in 2015.
