FRWO Uses the Collective Wisdom to Make Policies
Head of FRWO in the twelfth session of Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in Hycanian regions Working Group said that the workload in FRWO is high and the time is limited.
According to FRWO’s website, in this meeting, Mr. Khalil Aghaee, Deputy Minister and Head of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization (FRWO) addressing the members of Working Group said that FRWO is mandated to preserve forests and rangelands and the aim of Working Group regular meeting is to determine follow-up mechanisms and use the collective wisdom for management of natural resources make appropriate policies and decisions for natural resources sector.
He emphasized that training programs for capacity building of stakeholders and their involvement in management of the Hycanian forests is critical for FRWO success.
In this regard, he called for greater role of FRWO in capacity building programmes in the Hycanian regions and said that the people's participation in the implementation of programs will be the main element for stabilizing natural resource management.
