200 Billion RLs Allocated to Aerial Firefighting in Forests & Rangelands

Government approved the allocation of two hundred billion RLs to the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics for aerial firefighting in forests and rangelands to procure facilities, equipments, and flight services to fight wild land fires.

According to FRWO’s website, at the Cabinet meeting chaired by President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday, a sum of two hundred billion RLs were allocated to the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics to procure facilities, equipments, and flight services to fight wild land fires.

The decision was adopted to preserve forest resources, and to upgrade the ability of FRWO to reduce risk and vulnerability of forests to fires.
