Sustainability of Natural Resources Rely on People's Participation

“The sustainability of natural resources depends on effective communication and intimacy with people”, Head of FRWO said.

‏ According to FRWO’s website, Mr. Khalil Aghaee, Deputy Minister and Head of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization (FRWO) in the 26th session of coordination committee for IWM implementation which was held at FRWO Headquarters on Saturday with the agenda of cadastre and IWM implementation said that natural resources belong to people, therefore any decision for management of resources including enclosure, exploitation, grazing management, conservation and restoration of them should be made by public participation.  

Emphasizing on the proper implementation of natural resource laws and regulations, Mr Aghaee added: “Intimacy with people provides for people's cooperation in managing natural resources. He also exalted the role of facilitators who are collaborating with NRWDs in provinces, and play an important role in the process of building trust and expanding partnerships.”

Based on report cadastre mapping has been carried out in more than six million hectares of public lands with the budget allocated from the National Development Fund (NDF) in 2018-2019.
