Law Enforcement Police Week Observed in FRWO
Head of FRWO praised the role of Forest Guard on the occasion of the Law Enforcement Police Week (NAJA Week) and stressed Forest Guard to fight against land grabbing, with no mercy. He made a distinction between land grabbing phenomenon and the customary rights of local villagers to use lands around their villages and asked the guard to treat local people with compassion”.

According to FRWO’s website,  Mr. Khalil Aghaee, Deputy Minister and Head of Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization (FRWO) in a meeting with the Commander of Forest Guard and a group of police forces held last Saturday on the occasion of the Law Enforcement Police Week, congratulated Forest Guard and called for treating local people with compassion.

In this meeting, Head of FRWO noted the main duty op Forest Guard units as Judicial law enforcement to respond immediately to violations to national assets.

Referring to the employment restrictions, he stressed the need for a new alternation plan to absorb volunteers for firefighting operations. He added that both officials and people are sensitive to forest fires and ready to provide any assistance they can, to respond to such emergencies.

The head of FRWO urged that the Forest Guard should seize the opportunity to join forces with other organizations for joint patrols to increase the efficiency of the existing forces.
