Flood Control Project Launched in Esfarayen
Head of FRWO officially launched the flood control project in Esfarayen - North Khorasan province yesterday. The project is constructed with 25 billion RLs budget from the National Development Fund (NDF) and controls runoff in 90 hectares of lands amounting to more than 800,000 cubic meters of floodwater annually in the downstream of Bakabad village in Esfarayen.

According to FRWO’s website, Khalil Aghaee, on the sideline of the visit to the North Khorasan IWM projects, accompanied by members of the Parliament said: “Parliament approved $ 200 million for the implementation of IWM projects last year, and based on recent agreement € 150 million is earmarked from NDF for implementation of IWM projects in the current year.” He added that IWM projects will be implemented in 10,000 sites this year.

Referring to the performance of the NRWD of North Khorasan Province, he said that the average physical progress of IWM projects in the province is above national average.
