The Sixteenth Session of Zagros Forest Management Working Group Held in FRWO

 According to FRWO’s website, the sixteenth session of Zagros forest management working group, chaired by Abbas Ali Nobakht, Deputy Head for Forestry - FRWO was held at FRWO Headquarters on Wednesday with the review of physical progress of natural resources and watershed management plans in eleven Zagros provinces.

In this meeting, Mr. Tarahhom Behzad, Director General of Rangeland Affairs Bureau in FRWO presented a performance report on seeding, planting and range restoration operations in eleven Zagros provinces.

Dr. Nobakht referring to the vital ecosystem functions of Zagros forests, said that FRWO would put all efforts into reviving these valuable forests and added that Zagros forest management plan is an integrated management plan that integrates IWM interventions into forest and range management projects to provide the required soil moisture for enhancing vegetation coverage.
