President Called for Acceleration of Desertification Control Projects

President Rouhani attended Kerman Administrative Council meeting during his trip to the province on Tuesday. In this meeting he referred to different critical issues of the province said that desertification control operation should be accelerated because it directly affects the lives of people in desert provinces.

According to FRWO’s website, President Rouhani said that parallel to mulching, other biological methods should be employed as a part of solution in desertification control operation.

FRWO’s website also quoted the launch of mulching project in1600 ha for sand dune fixation and IWM projects in 28000 ha of watersheds in the province among the achievements of this trip.
