Revised Conservation Plan to be Implemented in Hyrcanian Forests

FRWO is formulating a plan to ban destructive activities and replace nature-friendly development projects in Hyrcanian forests.

Based on the revised forest conservation plan, all destructive mining operations will be reviewed and come to a standstill within the revised plan from 2020.

According to FRWO’s website, Kamran Pour Moghaddam, Head of Forest High Council of FRWO said: “The revised forest conservation plan will be implemented within sustainable forest management principles and cover the whole Hyrcanian forests. It will address ecological, social and economic issues within IWM norms”.
