Vital Role of IRIB in Promoting Natural Resource Culture

Dr. Khosrow Shahbazi in the meeting with Director General of Channel 2 of IRIB on Monday praised the role of IRIB in promoting natural resources and said media can mobilize people in conserving nature. 

According to FRWO’s website, in this meeting he emphasized the strategic role of IRIB in institutionalizing the culture of natural resources preservation and development that pave the way for people's maximum participation in this area.

Dr. Shahbazi thanked the IRIB's efforts announced that the tree-planting movement aimed at greener homeland will start with planting 14 million seedlings as of Thursday 5th December 2019.  

He said coordinations have been made for planting14 million trees throughout the provinces in a very short time.

Dr. Shahbazi, referring to the people's contribution in planting operation, said: “IRIB plays a vital role in mobilizing people's participation and eventually the success of the initiative".

He said: “Natural resources belong to all people as a national asset and the role of IRIB is to promote natural resource through national media is an important responsibility.”

In this meeting, Dr. Mohammad Reza Ja’fari, Director General of Channel 2 of IRIB, also welcomed FRWO officials and expressed his satisfaction over the meeting. He emphasized the importance of conservation and protection of natural resources as a national duty for everyone and expressed readiness for further collaboration in this regard.

Jafari also said: “tree-planting initiative is a good opportunity to further promote the social capital in society.”
