Second Review Session of Tree-Planting Initiative Held at FRWO

In this meeting, Dr. Shahbazi after hearing the reports from provinces about plantation operation, participation level of people in the initiative and the collaboration of executive agencies, Red Crescent volunteers, Basij students groups and NGOs, said the initiative of plantation in autumn is a brand new participatory move that mobilized people, nature's lovers and media.

He added that plantation in autumn provide optimum soil moisture for seedlings so that no irrigation is needed up to the spring. He reiterated that the budget for the mass plantation operation is financed from National Development Fund and the provinces have enough time up to the end of Iranian year to fulfill their commitments for seedling production and plantation.
