Implementation of IWM Projects

Acting Minister of Agriculture Jihad emphasized the implementation of IWM projects in a meeting in Ardebil and said that IWM has had various positive functions and prevents flood damage and soil erosion.

According to FRWO’s website, Eng. Abbas Keshavarz, Acting Minister of Agriculture Jihad in his visit to Ardebil province for the inauguration of 18 IWM projects in Bileh Savar also attended the Administrative Council of NRWD there on Wednesday. In this meeting, he praised the IWM achievements in the province and emphasized the need for a national plan for soil conservation. He also urged the enhanced biological and seeding interventions in the upstream of the watersheds in order to prevent soil erosion and increase soil stabilization.
