FRWO to Collaborate with Basij to Implement IWM Projects in Flood-Stricken Areas in Sistan & Baluchistan

Acting Head of FRWO in the second leg of his trip to Sistan & Baluchistan province visited the flood-stricken areas on Thursday.

According to FRWO’s website, Dr. Khosrow Shahbazi and accompanying delegation visited the Dasht-e Yari, Plan and Oraki districts and had talks with locals. They also visited the physical status of the watershed structures, and their role in flood control.

It is noteworthy that in the first leg of his visit to Chabahar on Wednesday, Dr. Shahbazi met with the head of Basij forces (Mobilization Resistance Force) and head of Basij Organization of Agricultural and Natural Resources Engineers, and agreed to formulate a joint project for IWM and plantation operation in areas prone to flash flood and water erosion as soon as possible.
