FRWO Welcomes the Involvement of ANREO in Natural Resources Management

Acting Head of FRWO noted that FRWO welcomes any arrangement to transfer its activities to members of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Engineering Organization (ANREO).

According to FRWO’s website, Dr. Khosrow Shahbazi Acting Head of FRWO attended a meeting with the officials of Agriculture and Natural Resources Engineering Organization at FRWO’s Headquarters to explore the modalities to utilize the specialized services of ANREO for the preservation, restoration and development of forests and rangelands.

In this meeting, Dr. Shahbazi while reiterating the commitment of FRWO to use all capacities of private sector in those areas permitted by law highlighted the need for branding and constant training as a key to success in the field of agriculture and natural resources management. He also added that ANREO can pave the way for enhanced participation of graduates in the implementation of FRWO’s activities as well as natural resources and watershed management projects.

He also noted that the existing program of FRWO for development of wood farming and medicinal plants is an opportunity for ANREO to create new job opportunities for young graduates and members in this areas and asked for active role of ANREO in cultural aspects of environmental and natural resources management.
