The Supreme Leader Planted Two Saplings on the Occasion of Arbor Day

The Supreme Leader planted two fruit trees on Tuesday ahead of upcoming Arbor Day to mark the day. Arbor Day known as "National Tree Planting Day" in Iran is the fifteenth day of month of Esfand, which usually corresponds with March 5. This day is also the first day of the "Natural Resources Week (05-11 March)"in Iran. This is the time when the saplings of all kinds are distributed among people to encourage them to plant and care for trees and nature. They are also taught how to plant trees. Every year, just before the Iranian New Year, millions of Iranians plant trees to mark the tree-planting day in Natural Resources Week.
