Head of the Judiciary Planted Tree on the Occasion of Natural Resources Week
Head of the Judiciary planted a tree on the occasion of Arbor Day and Natural Resources Week.
According to FRWO's website, quoted from Public Relations Bureau of the Judiciary, Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, after planting tree on the occasion of Arbor Day, highlighted the positive impact of tree-planting in raising hope and spirits in the community and said that the initiative taken by the Supreme Leader in planting trees is a practical lesson for all officials and people to conserve the environment and nature in the country.
Head of the Judiciary reiterated that based on law to have clean land, water and air is a public right, therefore land and water conservation, environmental protection, and maintaining a healthy climate is a public duty for everyone."
He stressed that land grabbing; unauthorized use of water and the pollution of the environment and air are illegal and breach of law and added: "As I have said from my first day in the Judiciary, we are determined to decisively halt any violations of law and fortunately with the prompt measures taken by the Judiciary and courts, we have curtailed the hands of gangs from state lands in Lavasan, Damavand and south of Tehran as well as other cities."
Ayatollah Raisi also advised police and security forces to carry out their duties precisely in order to protect forests and rangelands and the environment.
"Tree planting in Arbor Day is a symbolic move to unite all colleagues in the Judiciary as well as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Basij and security forces to fight back any violation of law and to the public asset such as forest and national lands and natural resources and we will continue to pursue this very seriously in the coming years." Head of the Judiciary said.
He reminded that protection of forests and rangelands is duty both for people and the government and what belongs to people must be preserved for the next generations.
