FRWO, a Prominent Part of Agriculture Jahad Ministry

Engineer Mohammad Reza Talaei, Deputy Minister of Management Development and Resource Mobilization of Agriculture Jahad Ministry at the ceremony of introducing the new Acting Head of FRWO held on March 28 at FRWO Headquarters said: "FRWO is an integral and prominent part of Agriculture Ministry both in governance and service sectors."

According to FRWO's website, he noted that FRWO has high caliber staff and professional experts that have done outstanding work.

Dr. Talaei referred to the FRWO follow-up measures in allocation of budget from the National Development Fund (NDF) for IWM projects implementation, desertification and dust storms control projects as valuable work of FRWO in this area in recent years and reiterated: "In recent years, despite sanctions, the agricultural sector has worked hard to forge an alliance with the cooperation of government, private sector and the local stakeholders to attain a positive economic growth in agricultural sector."

Deputy Minister of Management Development and Resource Mobilization of Agriculture Jahad Ministry said the agricultural sector witnessed a growth of 7.4 percent in 2019, which is due to hard work and perseverance of all colleagues in the Ministry.

He added the ministry would soon release the list of plans to be inaugurated by the Ministry in 2020.

Dr. Talaei emphasized: " One the priorities of the ministry is to complete the government electronic service and the web-based telecommunication technologies to improve and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery to the public at the earliest including in the land and related natural resource sector for increased transparency in service delivery." He added that the other areas of priority of the ministry on the natural resource sector are the development of wood farming and medicinal herbs, completion of cadastre mapping plan and the full implementation of logging ban initiative.

In this meeting, Dr. Mansour, Acting Head of FRWO cited the organizational convergence and coordination mechanism the key element in success in natural resources management that also serve as the sole criterion for any organizations parallel to personnel sincerity and devotion. He reiterated the completion of electronic government as a way forward in attaining transparency in natural resource sector.

He said: "The most important approach in natural resources management is to have the plans and programmes; and these plans are our roadmap for implementing operational plans.".

Dr. Mansour noted: "Our main approach is to consult with the scientific, academic and research community on key issues in FRWO."
