All Capacities of FRWO to Be Used to Advance the Natural Resources' Goals

The newly appointed Acting Head of FRWO vowed to use all capacities to advance the FRWO's objectives in natural resources management, and said that our main approach in FRWO is to provide an enabling platform for all experts in the field of natural resources, especially from scientific, academic and research community, media and non-governmental organizations in the field to present their plans and programs for the promotion of the country's natural resources.

According to FRWO's website, Dr. Masoud Mansour, in the first working meeting of Natural Resources Protection Council (NRPC) in the new Iranian year at FRWO Headquarters on Sunday, said that conservation is of FRWO's top priorities that requires the full participation of all stakeholders. He added that in order to preserve these valuable assets, FRWO needs the full participation and support of people and all those who interested in the country's natural resources and environment.

Acting Head of FRWO in another part of his remarks, stressed the need to recruit the existing conservation staff of Forest Guard of FRWO within new contracts for the conservation operations and said "it is also envisaged that for the effective management of the Hyrcanian forests, a manager and supervisor to be posted for each 104 watersheds in the northern forests to handle and monitor the process."

In this meeting, the log frame of the Sustainable Hyrcanian Forest Management Program and the alternative plan were also discussed and necessary amendments were made in this regard.
