Natural Resources Should Be Protected for Present and Future Generations
Acting Head of FRWO said that the responsibility of FRWO in natural resources management is very crucial and said: "FRWO has the duty to protect natural resources for present and future generations."
According to FRWO's website, Dr. Masoud Mansour who was attending the Forest Affairs Department in Chalous on Tuesday assessed the expert capacity of the department a valuable assets.
Dr. Mansour called FRWO the guardians of the long-term interests of natural resources for current and future generations and reiterated: "FRWO would prevent the destruction of natural resources in any form and would protect it for next generations."
Dr Mansour stressed: "FRWO should pay due attention to participation of local communities and the socio- economic capacities in natural resource projects, as one of basic strategies and the realization of slogan of FRWO in 2020 for a leap in production.
He highlighted the importance of international capacities for natural resources management very crucial and reiterated: "Today, the world has come to the conclusion that lack of due attention to both environmental issues and natural resources management has inflicted irreparable damages to human life."
Acting Head of FRWO with reference to "9 in 99" initiative which includes nine priority areas that should be completed in 2020, in line with the slogan "Leap in Production", and added: "Wood farming and medicinal herbs development are concrete areas of work for manifestation of the slogan."
He also exalted the role of volunteers in safeguarding natural resources and especially fire prevention, fire fighting and land grabbing.
