Agriculture and Justice Ministers Vow Legal Support to Natural Resources Conservation

Minister of Agriculture Jahad in a meeting with Minister of Justice on Tuesday called for enhanced legal assistance for control of land grabbing and conversion of natural resources in agricultural sector.

According to FRWO's website, in this meeting, Dr. Kazem Khavazi, Minister of Agriculture Jahad, considered the interaction of ministries necessary to resolve farmers' problems and reiterated: "The process of law enactments must be accelerated to guarantee the rights of people and improve soil and water resources, especially agricultural lands."

He also stressed the need for enforcement of the law to safeguard agricultural land use and remove conflicts, as necessary to prevent illegal seizures and violations to the state and the people's rights.

In this meeting, Seyed Alireza Avaei, Minister of Justice, announced the readiness of the Ministry of Justice to provide legal support to resolve legal problems and protection of national lands and natural resources and said: "Effective interaction with the judiciary and acceleration in the issuance of verdicts and dealing with criminal cases is effective in solving people's problems in the field of land affairs.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Masoud Mansour, Acting Head of FRWO, was also present at the meeting.
