Provinces Prone to Forest Fires must Mobilize all Facilities

President Rouhani in a phone call with the Minister of Interior mandated provinces to take measures to prevent and fight back forests and rangelands fires in the summer, with the coordination of the National Disaster Management Organization (NDMO), and, if necessary, mobilize all firefighting and relief capabilities to deal with fire emergencies.

According to FRWO's website, quoted from the Government's website, Dr Hassan Rouhani in a phone call on Wednesday with Interior Minister received the latest developments with regard to recent fires in Khaeez and ordered the Governor Generals of provinces to prepare an appraisal report on any possible fire threat in order to prevent similar catastrophes in the forests and rangelands.

Dr. Rouhani also instructed the Interior Minister to put all provinces on alert and mobilize all available capacities in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics to prevent any fires in forests and rangelands.
