Allocation of 65 Billion RLs for Forest Fire Control
Head of National Disaster Management Organization (NDMO) with emphasis on the strong coordination platform between line agencies in the recent wild-land fires announced that am extraordinary budget of 65 billion RLs have been allocated to speed up firefighting operations in hotspots this year.
Esmaeel Najjar, Head of National Disaster Management Organization (NDMO), in an interview with Mehr News Agency, in response to the question about the reasons behind the inconsistencies and delays in the supply and delivery of equipment in recent fires said based on law; Ministry of Agriculture Jahad is in charge of forest management including wild-land fire control.
He further emphasized that NDMO also cooperates with the Ministry in fire control in terms of logistics, including the procurement of 300 fire service vehicles and 35,000 personal protective equipments (PPE) in recent years."
