Head of FRWO Emphasizes the Expansion of Targeted Participatory Activities in Natural Resources
Head of FRWO in the seventh session of the coordination committee for IWM implementation held at FRWO Headquarters on Sunday emphasized the expansion of targeted advocacy and participatory activities in the field of natural resources.
According to FRWO's website, Dr. Masoud Mansour, Deputy Minister and Head of FRWO in the seventh session of the coordination committee for IWM implementation said that cooperatives and CBOs are the driving force for developing natural resources activities at local level and emphasized that by transferring the management of natural resources projects to local community, both people's livelihoods and natural resources will be improved.
Head of FRWO also referred to the vital role of people in sustainability of executive projects in natural resources sector and said: "Considering the positive effects of IWM projects, people welcome the implementation of these projects in their region and facilitators can parallel to their innate duties for training and conflict resolution, make arrangement for establishment of cooperatives to institutionalize people's participation in the preservation and restoration of natural resources."
