Allocation of Budget for Aerial Forest Fire Control

With the Approval of the Cabinet, some 50 billion RLs have been earmarked for the provision of equipments and aerial services to fight forest fires.

According to FRWO's website, quoted from Government Information Center (GIC), upon the proposal of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and with the approval of the Management and Planning Organisation (MPO), the Government, in the Cabinet meeting of September 27, 2020 chaired by the President allocated some 50 billion RLs for the provision of equipments and aerial firefighting in forests and rangelands in order to prevent unforeseen events and reduce the vulnerability of forest areas.
