Wood Farming Development is the Priority of FRWO

Head of the FRWO said that FRWO supports any action that leads to the conservation, development and restoration of natural resources in the country.

According to FRWO's website, in the meeting of wood farming development committee which was held with the presence of committee members chaired by Dr. Masoud Mansour at FRWO Headquarters on Monday, he said that planting the trees and cultivating the medicinal herbs contribute to preserve the country's vegetation cover which is the central mandate of FRWO.  

“Every tree that is planted aimed at wood farming development, in addition to producing oxygen and conserving water and soil, also meets the wood needs of industries and manufacturing factories,” Mansour noted.

He reiterated that one of the most important of FRWO’s programs in natural resources management is development of timber farming in 30, 000 hectares aimed at the production of one million cubic meters of wood in private and national lands in 2020.
