FRWO and DoE to Intensify Cooperation on the Conservation of Natural Resources

FRWO and DoE formed a joint working group in order to intensify the conservation measures in natural resources.

According to FRWO’s website, Massoud Mansour, Deputy Minister and Head of FRWO in the first joint meeting with Kiomars Kalantari, Deputy Head of the Department of Environment (DoE) for Natural Environment chaired by Massoud Mansour held at FRWO headquarters on Monday stated: “FRWO should cooperate with Department of Environment in protecting the natural resources”. 

Mansour emphasized the need to form a joint working group in order to cooperation between two organizations and clarified important issues that should be on the agenda of the working group as follows: “Utilization of I.R. IRAN National Environment Fund (IRNEF), Forest and Range Management Plans and issues included in the Seventh Development Plan”.

In this meeting, Kiomars Kalantari, Deputy Head of the Department of Environment (DoE) for Natural Environment, said: "This is an exceptional opportunity for Department of Environment to cooperate with FRWO."

He reiterated: "FRWO and DoE are complementary organizations and more synergy should be improved between these two organizations and collaboration between two organizations allows them to offer optimal services to the natural resources management".

Kalantari welcomed FRWO’s offer in utilization of I.R. IRAN National Environment Fund (IRNEF) and said that IRNEF has an efficient mechanism to handle the desire for environmental affairs and provide facilities.
