Launching 8000 Ha Runoff Control Project in Mahshahr
Head of FRWO officially launched the runoff and flood control management project in 8,000 hectares in Mahshahr.
According to FRWO’s website, Dr. Masoud Mansour, Head of FRWO in the launching ceremony of 8000 hectares runoff and flood control management project in Mahshahr- Khuzestan which has been implemented by Basij- Sazandegi Organization (BSO) stated: "Basij- Sazandegi Organization (BSO) is a good organizer for the participation of people and local communities in the implementation of projects and has so far implemented about 2.7 million hectares of various natural resources and watershed management projects in active collaboration with FRWO. "
Dr. Mansour pointed out the effect of soil and wind erosion on the economy and society and reiterated: "By implementing natural resource management projects, including watershed management and desertification control projects, soil erosion can be reduced and life and work can be continued in these regions."
