FRWO and NCC Join Meeting Held at FRWO
A joint meeting between Head of FRWO and Head of National Cartographic Center of Iran (NCC) aimed at monitoring of natural resources areas was held at FRWO Headquarters on Wednesday.
According to FRWO’s website, a joint meeting between Dr. Masoud Mansour, Head of FRWO and Dr. Gholam Ali Jafarzadeh Imanabadi, Head of National Cartographic Center of Iran (NCC) was held at FRWO Headquarters on Wednesday, 16th December 2020 with the agenda of review of monitoring the natural resources areas, implementing the cadastral-mapping of national lands, land subsidence and producing 1:25 000 scale topographic maps.
In this meeting, Dr. Masoud Mansour, Deputy Minister and Head of FRWO reiterated that FRWO is responsible for management of natural resources which comprise about 85 percent of our national territory, and noted that FRWO is the first governmental agency that began using aerial photographs in the 1960's in natural resources management.
He called for the formation of a working group consisting of deputies and managers of FRWO and NCC within the next 10 days and said that a Memorandum of Understanding should be signed between the two organizations.
Dr. Gholam Ali Jafarzadeh Imanabadi, Head of National Cartographic Center of Iran (NCC) in this meeting said that FRWO needs completion of the cadaster mapping in natural resources management and FRWO, National Cartographic Center of Iran (NCC), Deeds and Properties Registration Department (REDPRD) and Land Affairs Organization of Iran (LAOI) are held responsible for implementing the cadastral-mapping of national lands.
