Drones for Monitoring Wildfires in Forests and Rangelands

Vice President of Science and Technology announced that drones is used for monitoring and help control wildfires in forest and rangelands and noted that Iran has 300-gram manual drones up to 48-hr nonstop flight drones that help prevent destruction and land grabbing in the country by receiving images.

According to FRWO's website quoted from Irna, Dr. Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science and Technology met and conferred with Dr. Masoud Mansour, Deputy Minister and Head of FRWO on protection and conservation of Natural Resource and attended in the unveiling ceremony of four IWM and natural resources management projects of FRWO with the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology held at FRWO Headquarters on Sunday.   

In this unveiling ceremony, Vice President of Science and Technology reiterated that developing collaboration with private sector in the fields of science and technology and adopting economic development strategies can develop country’s natural resources modern management.
