Watershed Management Parks Protect Cities against Flood

The Minister of Agriculture Jahad said: "Some 24 watersheds were studied this year and 11 flood-prone cities were protected by establishing watershed management parks."

According to FRWO's website quoted from Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), Dr. Kazem Khavazi in a visit to Markazi province on Sunday, March 7, in an interview reiterated: "Today, two important issues are being pursued in this province, one of which has vital importance is the project of Arak watershed management park in an area named Darreh Gerdoo (Walnut Valley), which was implemented through the collaboration with Markazi province Governorate, Natural Resources and Watershed management Department (NRWD) and Agriculture Jahad Organization in province."
