Combat Desertification is not Limited to the Specific Government

Minister of Agriculture Jahad at the 2021 Desertification and Drought Day said: "Government approach to combat desertification should be continuous and permanent."

According to FRWO's website, quoted from Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN), Kazem Khavazi, Minister of Agriculture Jahad in the ceremony of The World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought held at conference hall of FRWO Headquarters, stated that there are 32 million hectares of deserts throughout the country, and said:"Desertification is a natural phenomenon and should be addressed at all times and governments".

He likened desertification phenomenon to a virus epidemic and emphasized: "Our worldview should contribute to combat desertification in the country."

Dr. Khavazi reiterated: "To combat the process of desertification in the country, the Government should adopt an integrative and continuous strategy".
