Head of FRWO Visited Natural Resources and IWM Projects in Khuzestan

Head of FRWO visited the Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) projects of Haftgol and Masjed Soleiman cities of Khuzestan province.

According to FRWO’s website, during Dr. Masoud Mansour's visit  to Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) projects of Haftgol and Masjed Soleiman cities, he emphasized on the accurate implementation of various natural resources and IWM projects and benefiting of the participation of local people and the private sector in the implementation of these projects.

Based on this report, during Head of FRWO's trip to Khuzestan, several different schedules were among in his programmes including a face-to-face meeting with the people in Haftgol city governorate, an intimate meeting with the staff of Natural Resources and Watershed Management Department (NRWD) in Masjed-e-Soleiman, a joint meeting with Dr. Papizadeh, Head of the Nomads Affairs Organization and Mr.Varnaseri MP and representative of Masjed-e-Soliman, Lali, Indika and Haftgol in the Parliament as well as a group of local authorities and exploiters regarding the issues and problems of natural resources and agriculture sector in the region at the governorate of Masjed Soleiman city.

The development of medicinal herbs cultivation in Lali city on an area of more than 500 hectares, the construction of a firefighting centre in Indika and the implementation of integrated watershed management, range plan and forest projects were among the topics discussed in this meeting.
